What is Tea Time, exactly?

Tea Time is where five-ish strangers sit at a cafe with a Host to have a two hour conversation. It's not about anything in particular.

You're meant to know pretty much nothing about the people that come, aside from the fact that they all signed up for this — just like you. It's self-selecting in that sense.

However, it may bring you comfort to know a little something about your Host. If so, just keep reading

Meet your Host, Ahmad.

(It'll be helpful to know what they look like when you're looking for a group of confused strangers at the cafe.)

If you have figured out your personal legend or still trying to, come to one of our teas. I can promise you one of those rare experiences when people connect and share something that adds to our human condition. And you wouldn't believe how easy such marvellous moments can happen with strangers when you are having tea.

What's your story?

Hey I'm Ahmad. I was born in the land of the pyramids and brought up in the desserts of Arabia. Then, I got bored and decided I needed to see more of the world. So, I moved to London for work in 2016. I am a doctor training in the art of psychiatry and a Gemini.

When I am not stressing about my next exam, I enjoy cycling, general wandering and exploring this beautiful city. I am really into museums, trying new foods and reading. By reading, I mean audio books ... BIG fan!

What might we talk about?

We will talk about your favourite quote, book recommendations, podcasts, London events, awesome music, worst movies ever, important people in your life, passions, what keeps you going, your earliest memory, favorite super hero, favorite childhood toy, obedience psychology experiments, anti-psychiatry, defence mechanisms, life traumas, how many bones you have broken so far, countries you have visited/lived in, countries still to visit, fears, great inspirations in your life, your animal spirit, greatest achievement, relationships, different cultures, identity issues and how amazing 'Rocky' is.
