What is Tea Time, exactly?

Tea Time is where five-ish strangers sit at a cafe with a Host to have a two hour conversation. It's not about anything in particular.

You're meant to know pretty much nothing about the people that come, aside from the fact that they all signed up for this — just like you. It's self-selecting in that sense.

However, it may bring you comfort to know a little something about your Host. If so, just keep reading

Meet your Host, Natalie.

(It'll be helpful to know what they look like when you're looking for a group of confused strangers at the cafe.)

May all who enter as strangers, leave as friends! After this tea maybe we'll start a company together, or get attacked by pirates sailing southeast Asia, or take up underwater hockey, or get lost in the mountains, or maybe we'll just have a great conversation, never talk again, and look at the strangers around us with new lenses...In any case, coming to tea will leave us with more chances for serendipity :)

What's your story?

I took the strengths finder test and it told me I’m a WOO, meaning I not only love meeting new people, I am energized by strangers!  I’ve met some of my best friends on trains, I’ve been invited to wedding of people I’ve sat next to on the plane and have had some of the best adventures with people I’ve met abroad. Tea with strangers is an experience for me that keeps me thinking and beaming for weeks and weeks. I can't wait to share this experience with you all.

What might we talk about?

Who you are (and I don't mean what you do) // what three things you would grab if your house was burning down // best travel stories // food waste // startup ideas // living mindfully and fully

New friends are just old strangers.
