What is Tea Time, exactly?

Tea Time is where five-ish strangers sit at a cafe with a Host to have a two hour conversation. It's not about anything in particular.

You're meant to know pretty much nothing about the people that come, aside from the fact that they all signed up for this — just like you. It's self-selecting in that sense.

However, it may bring you comfort to know a little something about your Host. If so, just keep reading

Meet your Host, Yohan.

(It'll be helpful to know what they look like when you're looking for a group of confused strangers at the cafe.)

Hi!  My name is Yohan. Here are a few random things to know about me. I am wholistically devoted to coffee (though coffee continues to "keep its options open"). I like to fill silent pauses with silence. My friends tell me I'm operate at low-energy levels most of the time, up until someone brings up something I care deeply about like Theodore Roosevelt or Waffles or Portmanteous

What's your story?

I'm about genuine connection (or as I like to call it, connection). I find it absurd that everything is prefaced with "real" in someway or another.

I like to spend my free time reading (Anna Karenina), watching educational videos on youtube (content quality is absurdly good).

What might we talk about?

There's an old chinese saying ," If the wrong man uses the right means, the right means work in the wrong way." I think the opposite of that is also true. "if the right man uses the wrong means, the wrong means work out in the right way". point is, I don't think good conversation happens because topic x or y came up. Its got to do with the mindset people have.

Theodore Roosevelt and Rodrigo Diaz Del Vivar (El Cid) are my two favorite people ever. Any and all long pauses will be filed by random facts. Not only that, they will also be fun! I'd also love to learn about something you're passionate about, I love learning.
