What is Tea Time, exactly?

🍵

Tea Time is where five-ish strangers sit at a cafe with a Host to have a two hour conversation. It's not about anything in particular.

You're meant to know pretty much nothing about the people that come, aside from the fact that they all signed up for this — just like you. It's self-selecting in that sense.

However, it may bring you comfort to know a little something about your Host. If so, just keep reading

Meet your Host, Kollin .

(It'll be helpful to know what they look like when you're looking for a group of confused strangers at the cafe.)

Hello stranger! I am here to be inspired and to inspire. I find the key to achieving inspiration is through conversation with strangers, and as a host I hope to give people a chance to share their stories and also to hear the stories of the various walks of life around them.

What's your story?

I am a social introvert. I don't talk a whole lot , but enough to keep conversations going. I cherish my me time more than anything, but talking to people, making new connections, inspiring others while inspiring myself is also extremely valuable to me. I am an entertainment writer who watches, listens and reviews a lot of TV and film. I also spent a considerable time in my late teens as a caregiver and have since dedicated my life to volunteering and working for various causes dear to me

What might we talk about?

Life stories. Tea time with me will feel like a story time where strangers get to share their life experiences and/or talk about things on their mind that they need perspective on. I’m not a big fan of structure and rules and this and that. I just like to chill, let the conversation flow naturally, none of these pre-set topics. My only rule is be respectful and be you.
