What is Tea Time, exactly?

Tea Time is where five-ish strangers sit at a cafe with a Host to have a two hour conversation. It's not about anything in particular.

You're meant to know pretty much nothing about the people that come, aside from the fact that they all signed up for thisΒ β€” just like you. It's self-selecting in that sense.

However, it may bring you comfort to know a little something about your Host. If so, just keep reading

Meet your Host, Viggie.

(It'll be helpful to know what they look like when you're looking for a group of confused strangers at the cafe.)

I'm Vighnesh but I go by Viggie (Please do not call me Vupac. I won't share my food with you if you do.) I'll greet with you a wide smile and a hug. Psyched to meet you and help you out in any way I can. Let's get to know each other over your choice of warm beverage!

What's your story?

I'm the guy dancing hard in front of subway bands and singing along to songs while walking on the street. I love the outdoors and you'll find me heading out to the Catskills every Saturday morning (Plateau mountain is the best). The best habit I've ever built is my ~daily meditation routine. I've been dabbling in Wim Hof style cold therapy and cold exposure and can rant about its benefits at the drop of a hat. Wolverine was my first inspiration to get into lifting and the Joker (as portrayed in Nolan's Dark Knight) was my first inspiration to move towards a minimalist lifestyle. I make stick figure comics every now and then. I'm gonna love meeting you.

What might we talk about?

Why do you like what you like? Who is the most different person you've had a relationship with? What's the book that's impacted your life the most? How did you learn that Gay is okay? What is something you believe that other people think is insane? What is the book that you've given most as a gift? What is the worst advice you see being dispensed? Given the choice of anyone in the world, whom would you want as a dinner guest? What would constitute a β€œperfect” day for you? If you were able to live to the age of 90 and retain either the mind or body of a 30-year-old for the last 60 years of your life, which would you want? For what in your life do you feel most grateful? If a crystal ball could tell you the truth about yourself, your life, the future or anything else, what would you want to know? What if polyamory was the dominant form of relationships? Do you find incest abhorrent? Why? History, behavioral psychology, morality and systems thinking. Meditation and cold therapy. Bio hacking. Frugal living and minimalism. Ketogenic diets vs anti-inflammatory diets. Hair care, skin care and cheap fashion tips.

Do you own things or do things own you?
