What is Tea Time, exactly?

Tea Time is where five-ish strangers sit at a cafe with a Host to have a two hour conversation. It's not about anything in particular.

You're meant to know pretty much nothing about the people that come, aside from the fact that they all signed up for thisΒ β€” just like you. It's self-selecting in that sense.

However, it may bring you comfort to know a little something about your Host. If so, just keep reading

Meet your Host, Sarah.

(It'll be helpful to know what they look like when you're looking for a group of confused strangers at the cafe.)

Hello, stranger! If you've landed here then it means we already have something in common :-) So let's spend a couple hours together with a warm (or iced) brew for extra coziness, and redefine the word "stranger" by exchanging and learning from each other.

What's your story?

I was born in France with the gift of pathological curiosity. My favourite question has always been "why". When I was 4, I would randomly ask strangers on the bus why they were sulking or any other embarrassing questions. I love understanding how things work including humans...which lead me to study medicine for a couple of years before switching to psychology (amongst other things). In my free time, I do a lot of cooking, experimenting with holistic practices and natural remedies, reading, journaling, and anything involving being outdoors and/or active. I never say no to trying new things so naturally travelling is important to me. Your turn :-)

What might we talk about?

Do you believe in fate? Do you think that the body overrides the mind or is it the other way around? If you could change anything about yourself what would it be? What will the future of technology look like? If you had to describe colours to a blind person, what would you say? Vibrations in music. Alternative medicines. Historical figures you would invite for dinner. Beauty. Tea and herbal concoctions. Reality is a subjective perception, so what is real? Serendipity. Digital vs analog photography. Time travel. Minimalism.
