What is Tea Time, exactly?

๐Ÿต

Tea Time is where five-ish strangers sit at a cafe with a Host to have a two hour conversation. It's not about anything in particular.

You're meant to know pretty much nothing about the people that come, aside from the fact that they all signed up for thisย โ€” just like you. It's self-selecting in that sense.

However, it may bring you comfort to know a little something about your Host. If so, just keep reading

Meet your Host, Sarina.

(It'll be helpful to know what they look like when you're looking for a group of confused strangers at the cafe.)

I love creatively breaking down barriers and giving people the space to be themselves and share their stories. We can let go of expectations and learn something new from each other by listening :)

What's your story?

I am a barre and dance fitness enthusiast, matcha lover, and shower singer ("How Far I'll Go" is my go-to). You can probably find me wandering around a bookstore or library, struggling to navigate public transit, or boosting my endorphins in a group fitness class. I recently graduated from the University of Maryland where I majored in supply chain management and minored in sustainability studies. I care about addressing social and environmental issues through business as well as designing creative learning experiences beyond the classroom. This sumnmer I'll be living in Indonesia for a language study and cultural immersion program. Excited to meet you before/after my trip!

What might we talk about?

We can talk about your theme song, proud moments, items on your bucket list and/or whatever is on your mind! How do you want to leave your mark on the world? What do you love doing that you think you are terrible at? What is your pet peeve and why? What or who have you stood up for? What artifacts would you put in the museum of your life?
