What is Tea Time, exactly?

🍡

Tea Time is where five-ish strangers sit at a cafe with a Host to have a two hour conversation. It's not about anything in particular.

You're meant to know pretty much nothing about the people that come, aside from the fact that they all signed up for thisΒ β€” just like you. It's self-selecting in that sense.

However, it may bring you comfort to know a little something about your Host. If so, just keep reading

Meet your Host, Austin.

(It'll be helpful to know what they look like when you're looking for a group of confused strangers at the cafe.)

Connecting people is why I live; I consider building meaningful relationships part of my duty as a human being. So consider yourself appreciated and loved just by being yourself :)

I am a photographer, musician, improv actor, humanist, puzzle lover, and org psych fanatic. I am also a bit of a weirdo, as are we all.

What's your story?

I love good, meaningful conversations about everything from poetry to string theory. I believe that if we just upped the level of empathy we all have for each other...this world would be transformed. This can start with a sip of tea.

My happiest time was when I backpacked the world for 8 months, from Europe to South America to Asia, with no itinerary. In my free time, I play my guitar and sing. I am an avid student of improvisational comedy and absolutely love photography. My current obsession is organizational psychology and how to create a kinder and more productive world through better management.

What might we talk about?

Let's talk about: how to start a "movement", co-founding a social enterprise, building strong relationships with family and friends, and how our passions are intertwined with our deepest needs.

"But love and I had the wit to win: We drew a circle and took him In!"
